I love Laura’s blog to bits, it’s super girly, she loves ‘cupcakes, fairytales and high heels’ Oh and Ariel is her Style Icon!! She’s a girl after my own heart!! Laura’s nail art posts are fantastic, she’s very talented and being a fashion journalist she looks fabulous so expect lots of OOTDs!!

Blush Blend Beauty

Natalie is a trained Make Up Artist, so this girl really knows her stuff!! Her reviews are fab but you must check out her YouTube channel. The makeup tutorials are amazing, she’ll show you how to create new looks with the Naked palette, and the ‘Get ready with me’ Video is great!

City Girls Fashion Box

Sarah has a real passion for fashion and I love her style, check out her OOTDs!! You also gotta check out her makeup collection, it’s immense!! She loves 80’s music and The Temptations.....So I KNOW we’d get on!!! X

I love Zoe’s blog, Love her OOTDs, event posts and her photography is just beautiful....as is she!! What I love most of all is her YouTube channel. OMG Zoe is just hilarious!!!! She is super cute and super funny!! Her hauls are great, especially the Primark ones!!!

So there you are, these are my top 5 fave girlies! I have so many more I love too, so here’s a quick little list!!

My Name is Emma and I'm an ELFaholic!!.......

I was going to wait until I received all 3 of my ELF orders (yes all 3!!!!) to do a You Tube video.  But as soon as my first order came through the door, I just couldn’t wait to share my goodies with you!!

All 3 orders have been made in a week, crazy I know! Last weekend they had a 50% off sale, then later in the week they had no delivery charge and now as I’m typing this they have their very last 50% off sale!! I just couldn’t resist, especially if this would be the last time I could get such fantastic makeup items from 75p each! It would be rude not to, right??!!

So what did I get????.......

Complexion Perfection £3.50

I’ve wanted this for a while, after seeing so many great reviews! So its a powder made up of 4 colours.  Green counteracts redness, blue brightens yellow, sallow skin, the yellow neutralises blue tones in the skin such as dark undereye circles and the pink disguises greyness in the skin.

I love this, I use it in two ways. With a big powder brush I swirl all the colours together and use it to set my make up, then with my new Concealer Brush (£3.50), I blend the yellow and pink to create a peachy tone to set my undereye concealer. Both methods really brighten my skin!

Blush and Bronzer Compact £3.50

I really wanted this after Kate Dolly Bow Bow You Tube review on it! She said it was one of the best products she’d ever used! So I had to have it!!

So really it does exactly what it says on the errr.....box. It’s a blusher and bronzer. The blusher is a soft natural pink with a delicate shimmer and the bronzer is a soft tan, again with a slight shimmer to it. I already own a few bronzers but I’ll be using this for contouring to enhance my cheekbones!
I bought the Flat Top Powder Brush (£3.50) to do the contouring after seeing a tutorial with it. For me its a little too big for contouring, so I have ordered the Blushing, Bronzing, Blending Brush in my latest order!
L-Concealer Brush R-Flat Top Powder Brush

Tinted Moituriser SPF15 in Honey £1.50

OMG this is the most AMAZING tinted moisturiser I have ever used!!! It is the most perfect colour for me, my skin instantly looks bright, radiant and glowing!! I love it!! The only down side is that it’s tiny with only 12g, so I’ve ordered another 2!!!

Shimmering Facial Whip in Citrus £1.50

I have this in Pink Lemonade which is a beautiful colour. Citrus is more of a highlighter, it’s a soft bronze shimmer, where I’d used Pink Lemonade as a blusher as it’s deeper in colour!
The only trouble with these is the packaging, if you over twist the lid, the tube splits and the products oozes out!! This happened to my PL so I’m being extra careful with Citrus!

Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Raspberry £1.50

L-Raspberry R-Citrus

This looks like a gloss, it feels like a good quality gloss but with the pigmentation of a lipstick. The colour is a really pretty reddy pink, it has a slight glossy texture but not at all sticky. Gorgeous!!

Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Medium £3.50

So this is a 2 in 1 eyebrow product. The Treat end is a vitamin infused clear gel to help the regrowth of your brows, the Tame end is a mascara wand with the chosen colour, which gives a nice natural look to the brows! I really like this product but it’s easy to make a bit of a mess as the brush is chunkier than my brows! Not tried the treat end long enough to see results!

Mineral Eyeliner in Ash £3.00
This is a gorgeous eyeliner, it’s so soft and glides on beautifully, love the grey colour too, not as harsh as some black liners I have!

So that’s my latest ELF box, I have another 2 coming, so I’ll keep you updated the those bits too. Once I have them all I will do a haul on my You Tube Channel.

Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh!.........

Ok so now that we are in September, for me we’re already on the countdown to Christmas!!! I know some of you will wildly disagree with me, but I know a lot of you big kids (like me) out there would agree!!
So if (again, like me) you’re planning ahead and already thinking of Christmas pressies, wanna find something really unusual and luxurious for your Mum, best friend, sister etc, then take a look at this festive treat!

Here I have 3 amazing products to represent Myrrh, Frankincense and Gold!
Myrrh  Comvita Active Lifting Serum

Comvita Active Lifting Serum contains HUNI®XA Manuka Honey which supports the natural collagen in skin and the elastin structure helping skin remain firm and lifted.  Manuka Honey has long been used in healthy living for its anti-bacterial uses but the new research conducted by Comvita has shown it is also a powerful anti-ageing tool. Myrrh has also been used in the Active Lifting Serum as it is a brilliant skin plumper, providing deep moisturisation and reducing the depth of wrinkles.

The RRP for this is £40 and is available at Harrods, Health Matters, The Natural Works Company, As Nature Intended, www.mypure.co.uk and www.comvita.co.uk

Frankincense Trilogy Nourshing Body Lotion

A luxurious cream with a velvety texture, rich in botanical moisturisers and essential oils to help soothe and hydrate skin dried by the elements. The Trilogy pure essential oil blend combines Lavender, Rose Geranium and Frankincense help to tone, balance and revitalise the skin.

The RRP for this is £15.50 ad available from Boots, www.lovelula.com, www.trilogyproducts.co.uk and House Of Fraser

And my favourite......

Gold  The Guerlain L’Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold
Infused with 24-carat gold this radiance-boosting concentrate instantly cools, and tightens the complexion, minimising the appearance of fine lines and promoting an unparalleled radiance. Worn on bare skin or under make-up, the gold-flecks promote a superior luminosity that lasts from morning til night.

The RRP for this is £42.50 and is available from Harrods.

Ok, so you’d have to be Tamara Ecclestone to afford all 3 of these for all your BFFs, I just love the concept!

I’ve not tried any of these yet, but I certainly intend to! I’ll have to sweet talk the hubby! I so badly want to own a radiance boosting product containing pure GOLD!!!

Vanity Beauty Academy Opening!!

A couple of weeks back,  was the opening of Vanity Beauty Academy in the beautiful town of Hitchin in Hertfordshire. The owner, Jo Webb is a very close friend of mine.  Jo is a qualified holistic therapist, celebrity manicurist and tutor.

Jo and her team do all the treatments you'd expect in a high end beauty salon. Including makeup application, Gel & Minx nails, Microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, Botox and much more.

Beauty Courses are also offered, please check out the prospectus here .
The opening was held on sat 27th August. My girlfriends and I  were greeted by Jo, offering Bellini Cocktails and beautiful cupcakes.

The salon is beautiful, clean white walls, white wash furniture with a pop of colour from the Cath Kidston cushions and herbs sitting on the nail bar!

Back massages, facials, makeup application and mini manicures were being offered for a donation of £5, which was going towards the Hitchin Sanctuary for the homeless.

I had a manicure by Angela, she did a fab file and polish! I chose Ciate Knickerbocker Glory, a gorgeous reddy pink colour!

Here are a few photos of the salon and the opening.

If you're local to Hitchin please visit Vanity Beauty Academy

Models Own Haul!

Yesterday morning I was very excited when the Postman knocked with a little package for me, I knew it was my order from Models Own. I had taken advantage of the 50% off sale (after they hit 50,000 likers on Facebook) and ordered these six nail polishes!

L-R Lilac Dream, Sophie's Pink, Prussian Blue, Top Turquoise, Purple Grey & Pink Fever

These are my favourite colours, the are totally different to what I usually go for. I'm normally happiest wearing hot pink, barbie pinks, raspberry pinks.........PINK! So I'm out of my comfort zone here, but I love them!! Also what I like about Prussian Blue is that it dries almost matt, which is new for me as I hadn't ventured into the matt nails yet! Nor have I tried smashed/cracked nails, but I won't be going there....I'm not a fan!!

I love Sophie's Pink - Surprise!! However Pink Fever (R) is my least favourite colour of the lot! The rest of the polishes are really pigmented, creamy and you could get away with one coat but with Pink Fever you need a good 3 coats and even that isn't perfect coverage! It's also perlised which I think can look a little dated, although it's ok for your toenails!

Unfortunately the sale is over now, but at £5 each they aren't exactly breaking the bank. Take a look at the Models Own website, there is some gorgeous stuff, they also do nail art pens, make up and brushes, everything is so reasonably priced!!
