Look Beauty 'Cool Britannia' Nail Pop!

In just over an hour the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony will be reviled to the World, so it only seems right to mention this beautiful Limited Edition nail polish aptly named 'Cool Britannia'.

This gorgeous polish is packed with red, white and blue glitter. I'm not usually a huge fan of glitter polish as it can often look tacky but this patriotic glitter is so fine, it's very subtle yet glamorous, amazingly you only need one coat for full coverage of the nail. I think it gives a beautiful effect.

This limited edition nail polish is available on the Look Beauty website and at selected Superdrug stores for only £5.

Wonderful Hair Cold Fusion Extensions

A month ago I had extentions done by Nicki at The Vanity Beauty Academy in Hitchin.
My friend Nicki was trained by Wonderful Hair, created by Nev, celebrity hairstylist and business partner of Lauren Goodger. Nev is the man behind Lauren’s gorgeous long glamorous hair, as well as some of the other TOWIE girls.
Me and Nev at the Lauren's Way Press Launch

Wonderful Hair use only the Cold Fusion technique. This technique uses no heat or glue, eliminating any damage to your natural hair.
Instead the 100% human Remy hair from Italy is attached with tiny keratin hoops and lasered to the natural hair. The whole process from putting in the extensions to cutting and styling took Nicki only 2 hours.

The colour match is absolutely perfect, Nicki chose two different colours due to the highlights in my hair.

The only down side is the maintenance, if the hair isn’t treated with a deep conditioning treatment 1-2 times a week, it can dry out. The hair can also tangle quite a lot, but if you do use a good treatment and use a Tangle Teezer on it, then the exentions should last 3 – 4 months.

I feel so much better about myself with my gorgeous new hair! I highly recommend Wonderful Hair Extensions!

MUA Undressed Palette

We’ve all heard of the Urban Decay Naked Palette, while some of you have it and probably love it like I do, some maybe have been holding back due to the hefty price tag of £32. If that is the case, take a look at the MUA Undressed palette, it's a fantastic dupe for the Naked and at only £4 it is an absolute bargain!

I have mentioned MUA quite a bit in the last 6 months, I think it’s one of the best affordable cosmetic ranges on the market at the moment. Mainly due to the eyeshadow palettes, I have Dusk Til Dawn and the Pretty Pastels palettes. The Undressed palette is definitely my favourite in the range.
The pigmentation is very good and long lasting on the skin. I wear three of the more natural shades for work and by the end of the day the colour is still strong.
As with the Naked you can create a natural look or a more glam smokey eye with the Creep and Gunmental dupes.

My favourite shade in the Naked is Half Baked, and the Undressed equivalent is just as gold and gorgeous.
The only downside to this palette is the packaging. For only £4, I don’t expect stylish, sturdy packaging. However my real bugbear is the black coating on the plastic lid. It melts to the touch and rubs off on your fingers, not what you want while you’re applying your makeup!

Not a good look!

MUA if you could just sort out this packaging issue I’d give this product 5 stars out of 5, so at the moment it’s getting 4!

Super Smooth Tootsies?!

Ok so Spring has apparently sprung, although we have been more likely to have worn our wellies for the last couple of weeks but sometime soon (fingers crossed) the sun will show its happy face as Summer is on its way, so the sandals and flip flops will be making an appearance!
If you don’t take care of your feet all year round, which I am totally guilty of, this is the best time to do it!!

I do tend to neglect my feet in the colder months but as soon as the temperature rises I start taking better care of them!

Here are the products I’ve been using for the past few weeks...

Bomb Cosmetics Dr Foot Scrub with lemongrass essential oil - £7.99

This yummy scrub is super thick and grainy, which polishes those tootsies so well! It smells delicious and is super refreshing!! Your feet feel so moisturised and smooth due to containing essential oil and Shea Butter.

Emjoi Micro-Pedi £39.99

This gadget is fantastic, being battery operated, it does all the work for you! Before I got this, I did use the manual files, out of necessity! I don’t enjoy using them at all, for me it’s like scratching nails down a chalkboard and puts my teeth on edge!
The Emjoi Micro-Pedi files down that yucky hard skin so gently yet so effectively, using a rotating roller, you get two rollers to choose from, coarse and extra coarse.  It’s totally pain free, it just buffs away the rough dry skin leaving your skin feeling super soft!
Love this!

Bomb Cosmetics Big Softee Body Lotion £7.99

I’m not overly keen on creams specifically for feet, they are often fragranced with Peppermint which I’m not really a fan of! So I use a rich body cream or lotion instead, at the moment I’m loving the Bomb Cosmetics Big Softee Body Lotion.
This contains ylang-ylang and also sandalwood which I don’t normally like as I find it too heavy, although in the lotion it’s gorgeous. The scent is so refreshing, it reminds me of Summer!

The lotion is so light and easily absorbed, you’re not waiting around for it to dry before getting dressed or walking on your carpet!

I bought both of the Bomb Cosmetics products at the Vitality Show, they were on offer for 2 for £10, I’ll keep my eye out on the website, if and when they have an offer on I’ll let you all know!

MUA Lashes - Flair

I went to the Adee Phelan haircare launch at Sugar Hut, Essex on Friday. I’d never been before so I was super excited!

With the event being in Essex I knew I the two very important factors of the night were getting myself a spray tan, I opted for a Gold Fake Bake, and of course I had to wear some false lashes!!

I don’t often wear lashes, I don’t really have the hand to eye co-ordination to apply them and generally end up throwing them across the room! However I had to make an exception for this very glam night!!

I decided on the MUA lashes in Flair, they were perfect! Not too over the top, they didn’t weigh my lids down and I think they looked fantastic! I'm not so keen full on lashes, these looked natural, but opened my eyes up and I felt instantly glamorous!

The lashes were easy to apply, the glue is already clear which is a bonus!  And to top this off they come at a bargainous price of £2!!!  Stock up girlies, they are fabulous!

Adee Phelan Haircare Product Launch!

Does anyone remember The Salon? It was a reality show aired in 2003-2004, based around, you’ve guessed it.....a salon! There were some 'out there' characters, Ricardo, cute Leo and even Ozzy Osbourne’s nephew Terry, but one of the more colourful hairdressers was Adee Phelan , with his shaved head, tattoos and out spoken personality he certainly stood out.

He then made it big by creating one of David Beckham's iconic hairstyles!

So the guy has done pretty well for himself, with two of his own salons, in Covent Garden and Birmingham and salons opening in New York and Vegas.

He has now launched his own hair care range. The range consists of styling products named ‘Fabulous’, including Extravagant Mousse, Sexy Styling Spray, Opulent Dry Shampoo and the Essential Everything Spray. Shampoos and Conditioners are of course featured. Prices for this are between £5-£6 in Boots.

The really exciting addition is the Hair Colour Remover, this removes permanent and semi permanent hair colour by reversing the colour process, without containing ammonia or bleach, sounds crazy, I know but check out here  for more details!

It also removes colour build up as well as build up from styling products. It contains extract of pearl to help straighten the hair. Check out Adee’s video demonstrations here. You can pick this up in Boots for £14.99, a great price for such an effective product!

I was invited to attend the hair care product launch, which took place Friday night at Sugar Hut in Essex where Adee is originally from.

I got to have a chat to Adee regarding his new range which he is very proud of, and so he should be, it’s flying off the shelves in Boots.

I remember Adee being a bit of a hothead on The Salon so I was a little apprehensive at the thought of meeting him, but he was a really lovely guy, very happy to chat and made me feel very welcome and comfortable at his launch......although that could have been down to the free Champagne!!

The night itself was fabulous, we were taken to a VIP room at Sugar Hut, I was greeted by Bobbie the gorgeous PR girl for the haircare range, Adee and even Sugar Hut Daddy Mick Norcross stopped to chat!

I have to boast a little bit here as I was the only blogger chosen to go, this is a massive thing for me, being a relatively small blogger, and for Adee and his team to pick me over many amazing blogs is an honour!
I attended the event with my friend Lisa who had actually had her hair cut by Adee back in 2003 on The Salon, they chatted and he remembered her!

On leaving Adee handed us goodies bags with some gorgeous products to try. I will be reviewing these products soon.

Go Adee!!!!

My Top 5 Glosses!

“My name is Emma and I am a Glossaholic”
I’m a bit of a lipgloss junkie, I have a LOT! I find myself saying all too often while in Boots “Do I really need another pink gloss?!” The answer is always No, but I just cannot help myself!

I thought I’d just share my 5 favourite lipglosses with you, my go–to glosses which I wear most days!

GOSH Intense Lip Colour in 304 - £7.99

This is the most pigmented gloss I think I’ve ever owned; the colour is a beautiful deep plum. This lasts so long on the lips, but once the gloss has worn off after eating and drinking, the colour stills remains. The packaging is fabulous with a mirror on the side and a light on the applicator, great for nights out when you need to quickly re-apply on the go! Love this!!

Revlon Super Lustrous in Pink Pop - £6.99

This gorgeous Barbie pink gloss is a fab summer colour, great for days when you maybe don’t want to wear a lot of makeup but want a pop of colour! It’s pretty well pigmented and lasts on the lips for 2-3hours.

MAC Dazzleglass in Baby Sparks - £16.50

This is maybe my favourite lipgloss, it’s my 3rd tube so far! This is the glossiest gloss I ever used. It’s a soft nude pink with the tiniest violet glitter flecks through it! Great worn on its own or on top of your favourite lipstick, I love to wear it over MAC Lovelorn or Speed Dial. The glitter in this shines beautifully and makes this super glossy!

Fashionista Plumping Lip Glaze in Coral Couture - £5

This gloss claims to plump the lips, it does leave a warm tingling feeling, although I’m not sure it makes my lips any fuller! But the colour is gorgeous, it’s a soft coral colour which compliments my skin tone really well. It’s quite sheer but gives a gorgeous wash of colour. This also smells delicious, I think its vanilla, it’s yummy!

MUA Out There Plumping Gloss - £2

So this is another gloss which claims to plumps the lips, which I’m not so sure about but I just love the colour, it’s a pinky peach tone, it’ s also very pigmented and last on the lips for a good 2-4 hours. Also with an amazingly cheap price tag of £2!!! Winner!!

What are your favourite glosses? Any other suggestions for me?

Happy 1st Birthday To My Little Blog!!

On this date a year a go, I sat at my dining table on my laptop looking for new beauty bloggers to follow. I'd been a massive fan of Laura aka Lollipop26 and had been so disappointed she was no longer blogging or making YouTube videos.

While searching, I suddenly thought I could create my own blog, it all went from there. My Mum has always called me Flossie, so the name for my blog was an easy and quick decision.
I've always loved reading product reviews and thought I could give it a go, so as soon as the blog was set up, I ran upstairs to my bedroom, picked a few of my favourite products I'd been using and started to write!!

Although I don't get to post as often as I'd like, blogging is addictive and I get a buzz everytime I click 'Publish'!

The last year has been crazy, I've been to some amazing events, met some lovely people, and made some really special friends, some I'd consider lifelong friends.

Thank you so much to all my followers, thank you for all your support and comments, they really mean a lot to me!

Happy 1st Birthday
Flossie's Beauty Love!!!
